Focal works with academics, governments and public health in the areas of alcohol, drugs, nicotine, and gambling. Experience includes outcome monitoring, prevalence and surveillance studies for adults, seniors, adolescent, high-risk youth, and general population studies. Focal has achieved international recognition for research design, sampling, and developing advanced methodologies and analytical techniques. Focal Research has designed and developed targeted diagnostic measures and tools including the Focal Adult Gambling Screen (FLAGS) and Focal Youth Gambling Risk Screen (FYGRS) and worked as part of project teams for international alcohol research and Student Alcohol and Drug Use .
